Here at Outside the Box we've been blogging a lot about augmented reality in action, but I think I've found the best use for it so far!
Imagine going shopping without having to try anything on... no changing room queues, no searching high & low for the right size, no giggling teenagers in the cubicle next to you asking if he'll like me in this!
Manchester's Trafford Centre have unveiled their new Magic Mirror. This interactive augmented reality mirror stands in the main mall and allows you to virtually try on outfits from John Lewis, French Connection and Banana Republic without phyiscally trying them on! By just waving your arm you can change outfits and sizes, and say in an instant 'I love it!'
I haven't tried it yet but I think it's going to be great when you've nothing to wear and in a hurry to find something!
